The shade parker tour
We had one of the best weeks in oz with our lovely friends Dave and Conny. The adventure took us to the magnificient Great Ocean Road and snowy Mount Buller. After picking them up from the Airport we drove to the MAUI Campervan Shed to pick up their senior camper truck (incl. shower and toilet and all that stuff what you need... or not ;0) )and of we go to the supermarket and campground nearby. We headed of the next morning still a little tired. Ok we had a few beers and lots to talk about.

The home of the shade parkers
The next pictures are showing the diversity of the unique landscape : beautiful surf beaches, rugged coastal cliffs and lush rainforests

Since i am kicked in the 4WD stuff i read some related magazines with good trucks and lots of travel reports. One of their recommendations was the campground at cumberland river which we choose to stay for our first night in the bush. No power, but the best campground we have seen so far.

Camping in a loverly gorge near the river edge.

We had a few mills of rain in the evening so we carried our campfire over in the small hut.

More coastline and...

...more rainforest

We have seen a little bit of good old Nordsee ... A lighthouse with a view

The area around the famous twelve apostels:

Kalle was here
After the Great Ocean Road we went to see the snow. A nice small campground in Mansfield with horses in the paddock was our home for the next three nights. The days where packed with fun and speed ;-)

We found the home of Karl - Heinz on our way to the snow
After these white days, we had to face the end of our journey. We spend the last evening in the Melbourne MCG to watch one of the finals of the footy season. Collingwood beats the Sydney Swans. Brilliant atmosphere in a hugh stadium holding up to 100.000 people.

This is for you Dave
We would like to say thanks to Dave and Conny for this wonderful week. It was hard to say good bye. We will miss our australian family and would love to see you again soon !!!!
